What to Know about COVID-19 Vaccines
COVID-19 vaccines are an important step in slowing the spread of the disease. We are committed to providing helpful vaccine information, resources to support members and $0 cost-share (copay, deductibles or coinsurance) on FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines through 2021.
To help agents and members stay informed, we’ve pulled together key information on COVID-19 vaccines. If members have questions about vaccines, we encourage them to talk with their health care provider. Full details here.
COVID-19 Vaccine Resource Locator
Use the UnitedHealthcare COVID-19 Vaccine Resource Locator to find FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine resources. We've gathered links to public resources to help members stay informed. These public resources may include who can get a vaccine, where to get a vaccine, how to sign up for alerts and how to schedule an appointment.
COVID-19 Vaccine Member Communications:
UnitedHealthcare has completed the following member outreach:
- Email/call campaign to members 65 and older in all states (excluding New Mexico and Hawaii) informing them of their ability to take steps to get an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine.
- Email/call campaign to members as vaccine eligibility opens to other populations such as high-risk and below 65.
- Email/call campaign to members who have received their first COVID-19 vaccine to remind them to receive their second dose if applicable.
New! We will begin a mailing campaign to members we haven’t been able to reach informing them of their ability to take steps to get an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine.
