Agents and brokers must complete registration and training for Plan Year 2026 by Sunday, July 12, 2026, when the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS) goes dark. 

Completing your registration and training before the CMS MLMS goes dark can save you time during the Open Enrollment Period (OEP), since doing so will qualify you for a shorter Marketplace training for Plan Year 2027.

As the “go dark” deadline approaches, here are some to-dos you should complete:

• Update your agent/broker profile information in the MLMS
• Complete the Plan Year 2026 Marketplace training for agents and brokers
• Read and accept the applicable Marketplace Agreements in the MLMS
• Print your 2026 registration completion certificate(s)

Returning agents or brokers have two options for completing their training: 

• Through the MLMS, offered by CMS.
• Through the CMS-approved vendor, HealthSherpa
  • Note: if you choose this option, you must return to the MLMS to complete their registration
